Cách gọi trợ giúp trong các tình huống khẩn cấp

Trong cuộc sống, dù muốn hay không thì đôi khi bạn vẫn sẽ gặp phải các tình huống khẩn cấp cần sự trợ giúp. Với tình trạng hỗn loạn khi có điều không may xảy ra, thật khó để vận dụng vốn tiếng Anh của mình để gọi sự trợ giúp khi ở nước ngoài. Đặc biệt những trường hợp cần nêu rõ tình huống, bạn không thể chỉ nói “help me!”. Dưới đây là một số cuộc hội thoại tiếng Anh mẫu để từ đó, bạn có thể học cách gọi trợ giúp lúc nguy cấp.


TÌNH HUỐNG 1: GẶP TÌNH HUỐNG CẤP CỨU KHẨN CẤP

Một người lái taxi đang chở một phụ nữ đi trên đường. Bỗng nhiên xe bị hỏng phải dừng lại, còn người phụ nữ thì chuyển dạ chuẩn bị sinh con. Người lái xe hoảng loạn và gọi tới 911 để tìm cách xử lý tình huống.



Operator: Hello. This is the emergency 911 operator.

Taxi Driver: Help. Help. Please help me!

Operator: Yes sir. Please calm down and explain exactly what is happening.

Taxi Driver: Calm down! My car is stalled on the freeway, I have a lady passenger, and she’s going into labor.

Operator: Now relax sir. Explain exactly where you are.

Taxi Driver: I’m . . . I’m in the southbound lane of the Lincoln Expressway, about 15 miles from the Washington Tunnel, and this lady isn’t going to wait.

Operator: Okay. What’s your name sir and your passenger’s?

Taxi Driver: It’s … it’s Bob, and I have no idea about the woman. She’s in no condition to tell me.

Operator: Okay, now what’s the nearest landmark to your location? Pay careful attention.

Taxi Driver: Umm, I see golden arches . . . McDonalds. How soon can someone get here?

Operator: I’ve just dispatched an ambulance to your location. They should be there any second.

Taxi Driver: Hey, is there anything I can do while we wait for the ambulance?

Operator: Yes, uh, keep her calm and warm.

Taxi Driver: Okay. Please hurry.



_ Calm down (verb): relax

_ Stalled (verb): to stop, often due to mechanical problems

_ Landmark (noun): an object, such as a building, that marks a location

_ Dispatched (verb): to send off

TÌNH HUỐNG 2: GẶP TAI NẠN XE CỘ TRÊN ĐƯỜNG


Hai người A và B đang đi trên đường thì thấy một tai nạn ô tô. Họ quyết định gọi xe cứu thương tới nơi xảy ra tai nạn.


A:Hey! That car just ran a red light and hit that truck!

B: Is anyone hurt?

A: I don’t know … let’s call an ambulance.

A: Hello? I’d like to report a car accident near the post office on Charles Street.

Operator: Hello sir. Can you see if everyone is okay?

A: It looks like a man is hurt.

Operator: Okay. When did the accident happen?

A: It just happened. OK, thanks. Bye.

B: What did they say?

A: They’re going to send an ambulance and a police car right away.

B: Good, they’re here. I hope the man is OK.

A: I know. You have to be so careful when you’re driving.



_ Ambulance (verb): emergency vehicle

_ Accident (noun): undesirable event

TÌNH HUỐNG 3: GẶP TRỘM VÀO NHÀ

A vừa đi làm về thì thấy nhà mình bị trộm. A gọi điện ngay cho cảnh sát để thông báo tình hình.



Police: What seems to be the problem?

A: I was in office all day and came to a burglarized apartment.

Police: Was the door locked when you left?

A: The door was still locked when I came home, so maybe they came in through a window.

Police: Do you live here alone?

A: Yes I do.

Police: Have you seen anyone suspicious in the neighborhood.

A: No, nothing.

Police: Well I’m going to check the windows.



_ Burglarize (verb): someone break in and steal values

_ Suspicious (adj): distrustful
